Saturday 15th June marked our fourth invitation to support Nottingham’s services for refugees and asylum seekers in kicking off a week long of events and workshops with an epic drumming workshop in the ballroom of the council house on the Market Square.
Nottingham is now in fll swing of the National annual Refugee Week and has many events planned for anyone to join over the next week.
“Refugee Week takes place every year across the world in the week around World Refugee Day on the 20 June. In the UK, Refugee Week is a nationwide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK, and encourages a better understanding between communities.”
We’re very proud to support amazing services in our own city of Nottingham with their delivery of inspiring and educational talks, film screenings, workshops, concerts and other events.
We enjoyed drumming with people from all walks of life on Saturday at the launch. So many smiling faces and giggles as we played our music together. A great effort from Nottingham!
