Teacher Training with BeatFeet - supported by Arts Council England

A unique opportunity for teaching staff in Nottingham to access free of charge specialist training in using global percussion and dance activities and exercises in the classroom. Sessions will take place on Saturdays between January - March 2022.

Enjoy exploring the use of exciting instruments in your lessons, such as the West African djembe drum, and discovering the upbeat sounds of Brazilian samba!

For those attending the global dance sessions, you’ll be immersed in popular moves from all continents, as well as methods to engage the whole class in powerful group dance experiences.

Provided by BeatFeet Drumming, Dance & Wellbeing Workshops, and supported by Arts Council England, these CPD sessions will be packed with key cultural teaching and learning points, ready for you to take back into your school.

Sessions are open to all teaching staff and no previous musical or dance experience is needed.

Please send an email to BeatFeet to register your interest, including (see email in poster just below):

- the name(s) of who you’d like to attend

- which sessions you’d like to take part in - either percussion, dance, or both

- which training you’re interested in (EYFS - lower KS2, or upper KS2 - KS4)

A link will be sent to you shortly after to reserve your place on each training.
