BeatFeet - Working with our community

BeatFeet are located in Nottingham in the East Midlands and we enjoy providing a rich and diverse timetable of community-based drumming, dance and well-being workshops and events. We collaborate alongside LW Arts and The Nyamba Foundation; organisations that receive funding from various organisations.

Project funders have been Arts Council England, Sport England, The National Lottery Community Fund, LW Arts and The Nyamba Foundation

Certain workshops are for women only and this is always noted in event descriptions. We run these in association with When Women Gather, a Nottingham-based organisation providing inspiring workshops, talks and events all centred around physical, mental and emotional well-being and resilience. Women are invited to join certain groups for global-inspired percussion and dance sessions.

A full list of workshops can be found in the events section of our BeatFeet Facebook page. BeatFeet workshops cover many genres and are suitable for suitable for complete beginners too.

Djembe sales:

We have a fantastic range of djembes for sale. These are of varying specifications and are handcrafted by specialists in both West Africa and England. Many newcomers to drumming purchase their first djembe from us, as well as more experienced drummers, needing a higher specification. We can tailor them to your requirements.
